Tia’s journey with Manuia began at just seven years old in the Daly City studio, where her natural grace and discipline quickly set her apart. From the beginning, Tia has demonstrated a strong work ethic and attentiveness to detail, approaching every movement with thoughtfulness and intention. Over the years, her passion and commitment to Tahitian dance have earned her several accolades as an award-winning soloist in numerous Tahitian dance competitions.
In 2022, Tia relocated with her family to Lincoln, CA, and was thrilled to learn that Manuia would be expanding to the Rocklin area. With her wealth of experience and natural ability to connect with young dancers, she quickly stepped into the role of lead Tamahine instructor for Manuia Rocklin. Tia brings patience, professionalism, and a joyful spirit to each class, making her a favorite among both students and parents. Her background as a solo competitor has also made her an invaluable coach to the next generation of Tamahine soloists, several of whom have followed in her footsteps to compete.
Outside of the studio, Tia holds a certificate in Dental Assisting and is currently pursuing her degree in Biological Sciences at Sacramento State University. When she’s not dancing or studying, Tia enjoys relaxing at home and spending quality time with her family.
Tia’s dedication to Manuia continues to inspire those around her, and she remains a shining example of how dance can shape confidence, connection, and cultural pride.
